Pengzhou Bailu Shangshuyuan (Lingbaoxiuyuan)

Pengzhou Bailu Shangshuyuan (Lingbaoxiuyuan) is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

Bailu Shangshuyuan is a French-style Catholic church, located about a few kilometers outside of Bailu Town. The Baoling Shuyuan at its entrance was destroyed during the earthquake but has since been rebuilt and stands again after the disaster. The scale of the shuyuan is still quite grand.

In front of the shuyuan, there is a golden nanmu tree, which locals say is very old. There is a recommended trail up the mountain just behind the golden nanmu tree. It might take less than five minutes to walk there, and from the mountain path, you can overlook the entire shuyuan, making it a great spot for photos. You can also see the majestic white walls of the shuyuan that resemble a castle. Drivers, please note: do not drive your car onto the grassland near the shuyuan, as traffic police have installed surveillance cameras there. Just park in the small parking lot instead.

Protected area: bounded by the existing perimeter wall.

Construction control zone: extends 50 meters beyond the protected area.
