Jiufeng Mountain Qingliang Temple is a cultural tourism attraction.

Jiufeng Mountain Scenic Area is located in Dabao Township in the northwest of Pengzhou, approximately 97 kilometers from Chengdu, with an altitude of over 4,000 meters. It consists of three scenic zones: Jiufeng Mountain, Danjing Mountain, and Yinchanggou. The area features temples such as Leizu Temple, Qingliang Temple, Haihui Hall, and Ancestral Master Hall, and at the mountaintop stands Leiyin Temple, which was first built during the Tianqi era of the Ming Dynasty. On clear days, visitors can enjoy the sunrise, sea of clouds, and Buddha’s halo, while on cloudy days, the spectacular “waterfall cloud” can be observed. Currently, the more centrally located and scenic Yinchanggou area on the northeast foothills has been the main focus of development. Jiufeng Mountain Qingliang Temple boasts a long history and profound cultural heritage, having produced many eminent monks. During the Ming Dynasty, Marshal Zhang Dingbian renounced worldly life to become a monk, practiced here, attained enlightenment, and became the founding patriarch of Jiufeng, establishing the Linji Orthodox Jiufeng Sect. Over the dynasties, numerous eminent monks have practiced here, making Qingliang Temple a widely renowned Buddhist mountain in western Sichuan.
