The former residence of Yin Changheng is a cultural tourism attraction and a patriotic education base.

The former residence of Yin Changheng is located in Changheng Village, Shengping Town. Originally named "Changheng Residence," it mainly includes the Yin Changheng Memorial Hall, the Republic Culture Square, the Xinhai Garden, and a memorial sculpture group. The site features a "Republic Monument" commemorating the overthrow of the imperial system and the establishment of the republic. Among these, the Zhiyuan Poetry Stele Corridor consists of five sections, with carved steles displaying poems that reflect the 69-year life journey of Yin Changheng. These sections are: "Aspiring in Youth," "Western Expedition for the Nation," "Family and Hometown Bonds," "Moral Realm," and "Retirement and Writings," totaling 50 preserved poems.

Since October 2001, the Changheng Residence has welcomed over 10,000 visitors from across the country as well as local primary and secondary school students and aspiring youths. In March 2001, the Communist Youth League Pengzhou Municipal Committee designated it as a "Youth Patriotic Education Base," followed by a similar designation by the People's Government of Pengzhou City in September 2004. It is also a key cultural relic protection site under the Pengzhou City Public Security Bureau.

Yin Changheng (1884–1953), originally named Changyi, with the courtesy name Shuoquan and the pseudonyms Taizhao and Zhiyuan, was from Shengping Town, Peng County (now Pengzhou City), Sichuan Province. He once served as the Chief Instructor (equivalent to principal) of the Sichuan Army Rapid Training School and as the Minister of Military and Political Affairs of the Sichuan Military Government. In the early hours of December 22, 1911, Yin Changheng mobilized over 2,000 troops to capture Zhao Erfeng, the Minister in Charge of Sichuan-Yunnan Frontier Affairs, and publicly tried him at the Huangcheng Dam in Chengdu. He denounced Zhao’s crimes in front of the public and ordered his subordinates to execute Zhao on the spot at the "Mingyuan Tower" of the Huangcheng, thus eliminating this corrupt and brutal die-hard loyalist of the Qing court.

Changheng Village: Basic Information about Changheng Village

Changheng Village is the hometown of Yin Changheng, the former Sichuan Governor during the Xinhai Revolution. Located to the north of Shengping Town, the village covers an area of 3.6 square kilometers, comprises 16 agricultural cooperatives, and has a total population of 3,160 people, including 104 official Communist Party members. The Yangliu Branch Canal, Gaoyanzi, and Mamuhe River run through the area in a pattern resembling the Chinese character “川” (river). The Shipeng Highway and the Chengshi-Mianyang Expressway pass through Changheng Village. The area is rich in underground water resources and fertile land, making it an ecologically livable place for its residents.
