Jinghui Mountain Park

Jinghui Mountain Park is located 56 kilometers from Chengdu and covers an area of over 300 acres. The most famous attraction is the Zilong Temple, a historical site from the Three Kingdoms period at the foot of Jinghui Mountain. Zilong Temple was built to commemorate Zhao Yun, a renowned general of the Shu Han during the Three Kingdoms era. Zhao Yun, styled Zilong, was one of the Five Tiger Generals of Shu Han. According to the *Records of Famous Sites in Shu* from the Ming Dynasty: “Jinghui Mountain is also called Dongshan, and the earthen city at its foot is said to have been built by the Shu Han general Zhao Yun as a defense against the Qiang people. His tomb and temple remain there.” Zilong Temple currently has three main halls, as well as other historic sites such as the Wangjun Pavilion and the Zilong Stele. The cemetery is not large, but in front of the tomb stands a stone tablet erected in the fourth year of the Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty, inscribed with “Tomb of Zhao Gongzi Long, Late Marquis of Shunping.” The gate of the cemetery features a couplet praising Zhao Yun: “Your spirit forever guards the people of Jiangyuan; your loyal soul still strengthens the land of Shu.”

It was converted into a park in 1983, and a statue of the revolutionary martyr Che Yaoxian was newly erected.
