Xiling Snow Mountain Ski Resort

The Xiling Snow Mountain Ski Resort was established in 1998, began trial operations in December 1999, and officially commenced commercial operations in 2000. It is currently the largest and best-equipped large-scale alpine ski resort, large snow recreation park, and large grass skiing facility in China. It is also the warmest ski resort in southern China closest to the equator, major central cities, and airports.

The ski resort is located in the Yuanyang Pool scenic area of Xiling Snow Mountain, covering an area of 7 square kilometers. It features a high-altitude plateau terrain at an elevation of 2,200–2,400 meters. The maximum summer temperature reaches 25°C, while the minimum winter temperature can drop to -10°C. The snow accumulation period lasts from the end of November to the end of March each year, with snow depths exceeding 60 centimeters. The snow quality is excellent, forming a unique southern snowfield spectacle, which has earned it the reputation among visitors as the "Alps of the East."

The resort is equipped with 2,000 sets of world-renowned ski gear, eight internationally standard ski runs that can accommodate up to 2,000 people skiing simultaneously. It has imported 35 snowmobiles from Canada and Japan, as well as snow buggies, snow serpents, snow discs, and snow sleds from Europe for recreational sports. There are over 20 different snow activities available.

The resort has cultivated over 500,000 square meters of high-altitude grassland, creating a unique highland prairie. It has imported more than 600 sets of grass skiing equipment, making it a major high-altitude grass skiing destination in China during the summer and autumn seasons. The site offers 15 highland grassland sports and entertainment activities, including grass buggies, grassland off-road vehicles, grass airboats, and a 1,600-meter-long stainless steel slide (dry land sled).
