Baiyan Temple is located in Jinxing Township, Dayi County, Chengdu, beneath a massive white sedimentary rock—hence its name, which means "White Rock Temple." It is the only Tibetan Buddhist temple in Han Chinese territory. The temple's highlights include its unique Tibetan style, featuring common prayer wheels, and highly refined Indian stupas that represent a valuable asset in architectural aesthetics. Another highlight is the towering ancient ginkgo trees, most of which were planted by monks during the Ming Dynasty. It is said that one tree dates back as early as the Xia and Shang dynasties. In autumn, the golden leaves fluttering through the air create a stunning sight.

To reach Baiyan Temple, you need to walk several kilometers along mountain paths, so it is recommended to wear comfortable and lightweight sports shoes.

It borders Qinxia Town to the east, Jinyuan Town and Yuelai Town to the south, Wushan Township to the west, and connects with Wanjia Town and Huaiyuan Town of Chongzhou City to the north. The township spans approximately 13 kilometers from east to west and 8 kilometers from north to south, covering an area of 47.88 square kilometers with 9,212 mu of arable land.
