Xiling Snow Mountain - Red Stone Peak

Red Stone Peak is located at an altitude of 3,310 meters and consists of three peaks made up of three to four hundred columnar red granite rocks. The most distinctive feature of Red Stone Peak is that it is the highest point reachable within the Xiling Snow Mountain scenic area, as well as the closest vantage point to the main peak of Xiling Snow Mountain — "Big Snow Pond."

This is a natural viewing platform. To the west, you can see the vast snow mountains stretching for hundreds of miles, and at sunrise, you may witness the spectacular "sunlit golden mountain" phenomenon. To the east, the Chengdu Plain unfolds as far as the eye can see. On clear days, the view of the main peak of Xiling Snow Mountain, "Big Snow Pond," from Red Stone Peak is particularly magnificent and breathtaking. Many people go to great lengths to come here just to catch a glimpse of the true face of the "No. 1 Peak of Chengdu."

By Car

Chengdu — Take the Chengwen-Qiong Expressway, exit at Dayi and transfer to the Xiling Snow Mountain Huashuiwan Tourist Expressway — Da Shuang Road (near Hemingshan, also known as Dao Yuan Sheng Cheng) — Huashuiwan Hot Spring Resort Town — Xiling Town (turn right) — Xiling Snow Mountain Ski Resort (total distance approximately 110 km)

By Bus

1. Take a direct bus to Xiling Snow Mountain from Chengdu Chadianzi Bus Station. Buses depart at 9:00 and 9:30, with a fare of 33 RMB per person and a travel time of about 2.5 hours.

2. From Chengdu Jinsha Bus Station to Xiling Snow Mountain Ski Resort, there are two direct buses departing at 9:00 and 12:00.

3. Chengdu Jinsha Bus Station — Dayi Bus Station (average of one bus every 10 minutes); Dayi Bus Station — Xiling Town (every 20–30 minutes), passing through Hemingshan and Huashuiwan Hot Spring Resort Town, arriving at Xiling Town; from Xiling Town to Dafeishui Scenic Area / Xiling Snow Mountain Ski Resort, you’ll need to take local transport on your own.
