To the north of the Rent Collection Courtyard at the Liu Family Manor stands a three-story small building — the famous “Miss’s Building,” said to have been the residence of the young ladies of the Liu family back in the day. The interior walls are adorned with numerous calligraphy works and paintings by renowned artists, as well as portraits of ladies. The building also displays nearly 30 photos and illustrations of similar “Miss’s Buildings” from across China.

Anren Town: Anren Town has a long history. As early as the third year of the Wude era of the Tang Dynasty (620 AD), the Anren County was established (50 years before Dayi County), under the jurisdiction of Qiongzhou in the Jiannan Circuit. According to the "Taiping Huanyu Ji," it was named “Anren,” meaning “peace for the benevolent.” At that time, the county seat was located where Anren Town is today. Because it was historically the seat of “Anren” County, the name remains. It wasn’t until the 21st year of the Yuan Dynasty (1284 AD) that the Anren County was abolished, and its territory was incorporated into Dayi County. Before liberation, Anren was known for having “three armies, nine brigades, and eighteen regiments,” and produced notable military and political figures such as Liu Wenhui and Liu Xiang.
