Liu Yuanxuan’s Former Residence

Liu Yuanxuan’s Former Residence is a cultural relic protection unit of Sichuan Province.

Liu Yuanxuan’s Former Residence is located on Shuren Street in Anren Ancient Town. Built in 1945, it covers an area of over 5,350 square meters, with a construction area of 2,500 square meters and more than 120 rooms. The entire residence faces east and sits westward, taking the shape of a vertical rectangle. It is enclosed on three sides by tall walls, gatehouses, and civilian houses, forming a closed courtyard. The residence consists of a front yard and the main residential courtyard.

It is very well preserved. It is reported that the residence has never been open to the public before.

Liu Yuanxuan once served as a brigade commander, division commander, and acting army commander of the 24th Army of the National Revolutionary Army. After the founding of New China, he was the Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Sichuan Provincial People's Congress and Vice Chairman of the CPPCC.
