Xinchang Town: Located in the western part of the Chengdu Plain, Xinchang Town is the earliest established town in western Dayi. It features a mix of mountainous, hilly, and flatland areas, and is a pilot small town in Sichuan Province. It is 10 kilometers from the county seat, covering an area of 34.9 square kilometers, with jurisdiction over 7 administrative villages, 135 agricultural production teams, 1 community neighborhood committee, and a total population of 26,300. Agriculture: The taxable agricultural area is 13,986 mu, including 2,626 mu of dry land and 11,1360 mu of paddy fields. Major crops include rice, wheat, corn, and rapeseed. In mountainous areas, 710 mu have been returned from farming to forest, and 100 mu of barren hills have been afforested.
