Liu Tizhong’s Former Residence

Liu Tizhong’s Former Residence is a municipal-level cultural heritage site in Chengdu.

On May 2, 2018, Liu Tizhong’s Former Residence was designated as part of the sixth batch of municipal-level cultural heritage protection units by the Chengdu Municipal People's Government.

The protected area includes the current boundary wall; the construction control zone extends 10 meters outward from the protected area.

Anren Town: With a long history, Anren Town was established as Anren County as early as the third year of the Wude era during the Tang Dynasty (620 AD), 50 years before Dayi County was founded. It was under the jurisdiction of Qiongzhou in the Jiannan Circuit. According to the “Taiping Huanyu Ji,” it was named after the meaning of “benevolent people find peace,” and its county seat at that time was located where Anren Town stands today. Because it was historically the seat of “Anren” County, the town inherited the name. In the 21st year of the Yuan Dynasty (1284 AD), Anren County was abolished, and its territory was incorporated into Dayi County. Before the liberation, Anren was known for having “three armies, nine brigades, and eighteen regiments,” and produced prominent military and political figures such as Liu Wenhui and Liu Xiang.
