Chen Yuesheng’s Former Residence is a municipal-level cultural heritage site in Chengdu.

Chen Yuesheng’s Former Residence covers an area of 3,875 square meters. On May 2, 2018, it was designated as part of the sixth batch of municipal-level cultural heritage protection units by the Chengdu Municipal People's Government.

The protected area includes the current boundary wall, while the construction control zone extends 10 meters beyond the protected boundary.

Anren Town: Anren Town has a long history. As early as the third year of the Wude era in the Tang Dynasty (620 AD), the Anren County was established (50 years before Dayi County was founded), under the jurisdiction of Qiongzhou in the Jiannan Circuit. According to the “Taiping Huanyu Ji,” it was named after the meaning “benevolent people find peace,” and the county seat at that time was located where Anren Town stands today. Hence, it was named after the ancient Anren County seat. The county was abolished in the 21st year of the Yuan Dynasty (1284 AD), and its territory was incorporated into Dayi County. Before the liberation, Anren was known for having “three armies, nine regiments, and eighteen battalions,” and produced notable military and political figures such as Liu Wenhui and Liu Xiang.
