Liu Yuantang Mansion

Liu Yuantang Mansion is a municipal cultural relics protection unit in Chengdu.

Liu Yuantang Mansion covers an area of 480 square meters. On May 2, 2018, it was designated as part of the Sixth Batch of Municipal Cultural Relics Protection Units by the Chengdu Municipal People's Government.

The protected area includes the current boundary wall, while the construction control zone extends 10 meters outward from the protected area boundary.

Anren Town: With a long history, Anren Town was established as Anren County as early as the third year of the Wude era in the Tang Dynasty (620 AD), which is 50 years before Dayi County was founded. It was under the jurisdiction of Qiongzhou in the Jiannan Circuit. According to "Taiping Huanyu Ji," it was named "Anren" meaning "peace for the benevolent." At that time, the county seat was located where today’s Anren Town stands, and the town inherited its name from being the historical seat of “Anren” County. It remained so until the 21st year of the Yuan Dynasty (1284 AD), when the Anren County administration was abolished, and its territory was incorporated into Dayi County. Before liberation, Anren was known for having “three armies, nine regiments, and eighteen battalions,” and produced notable military and political figures such as Liu Wenhui and Liu Xiang.
