The Yutang Kiln Site is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

Era: Tang and Northern Song Dynasties

The Yutang Kiln Site is a cluster of ancient porcelain kilns dating from the Tang to the Northern Song Dynasties. It is located in Fengming Village, Qishan Village of Yutang Town, and Hengshan Village of Zhongxing Town, Dujiangyan City, Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China, covering an area of approximately 2.5 square kilometers. The Yutang Kiln is an important member of the Sichuan Qionglai Kiln system, with its body material and glaze color very similar to those of the Shifangtang Kiln in Qionglai. The body color of Yutang Kiln pottery includes gray-white, gray, dark gray, brown, and red. The glaze colors include blue, gray, green, yellow, pale white, soy sauce, brown, white, black, white-glazed with black designs, and painted varieties.

Among the kiln site accumulations, fragments of bowls, cups, and other items can also be found. Some have 6–7 spur marks inside, with a clearly concave outer side on their flat bases, thick walls, and decorated with bluish-gray or yellow glaze. These features indicate that the Yutang Kiln was in operation no later than the late Sui to early Tang period.

In 2013, it was officially designated as part of the seventh group of National Key Cultural Relics Protection Units by the State Council.

Protected Area: The protected boundary extends 80 meters beyond the existing edges of Kiln Mounds No. 1 to No. 14 and No. 17. For Kiln Mounds No. 15 and No. 16, the boundary extends 50 meters beyond the current edges.

Construction Control Zone: The eastern boundary starts from Miaozishan Mountain Hollow in the north, extends southward along the irrigation channel to the junction with Huanshanyan; the southern boundary starts from the intersection of Huanshan Road and Huanshanyan in the east, extends 110 meters eastward to the township road of Jinjing Village; the western boundary is defined by the eastern side of Huanshan Road; the northern boundary starts from the junction of Huanshan Highway and the planned municipal road in the west, then extends eastward along the municipal road to Miaozishan Mountain Hollow. The construction control zone for Kiln Mound No. 15 extends 30 meters outward from the protected area boundary.
