There are four cliff carving sites on Qingcheng Mountain. The earliest is the “Big Character Rock” from the early Tang Dynasty, along with inscriptions by notable individuals from the Qing and Republican periods, namely “Cloud Nest,” “Cloud Root,” and the stone carvings at the Sunrise Pavilion. These carvings are located at the mountain’s base, mid-slope, and summit respectively. The “Big Character Rock” no longer exists due to its age. The other carvings, despite the passage of years, still retain clear inscriptions and are well-preserved.

Although not numerous, the Qingcheng Mountain Cliff Carvings complement the ancient architectural complex of Qingcheng Mountain, serving as a highlight that enhances the overall cultural charm of the area.

Protected Area: An extension of 20 meters beyond the distribution area of the carvings.

Construction Control Zone: An extension of 30 meters beyond the protected area.

Qingchengshan Town: In 2014, with the approval of the Sichuan Provincial People's Government, Dujiangyan City adjusted some of its administrative divisions. Zhipingpu Town and Hongkou Township were abolished, with their administrative regions merged into Longchi Town. The administrative region of Cuiyuehu Town was incorporated into Qingchengshan Town.
