Ningcui Bridge is situated on the southwestern foothills of Paifanggang, Qingcheng Village, Qingchengshan Town, Dujiangyan City, Chengdu, Sichuan Province. The original construction date of the bridge is unclear, but it was rebuilt in the 26th year of the Guangxu reign of the Qing Dynasty. The bridge runs from northwest to southeast and is a wooden, covered corridor-style bridge, measuring 10.80 meters in length and 2.4 meters in width. It features wooden planks and is situated 3.55 meters above the bottom of the gully. The bridge’s arch, which spans the stream below, is built of stone, standing 2 meters high and 1.2 meters wide, with the arch beginning at a height of 1.7 meters. The bridge’s roofed corridor uses a post-and-lintel wooden beam structure with a hip-and-gable roof, topped with cedar bark. It is 3.6 meters wide (one bay), 10.8 meters long (three bays), and has an overall height of 4.21 meters. On both sides, there are “flying chairs” (overhanging benches) serving as railings, each 1 meter in height. The bridge spans across a mountain stream and is one of the typical ancient bridges in Dujiangyan City. This bridge demonstrates significant achievements in site selection, architectural spatial arrangement, artistic features, and functional usability, making it highly valuable for the study of Taoist architecture on Qingcheng Mountain, especially the construction of roads and bridges.

Qingchengshan Town: In 2014, with the approval of the People’s Government of Sichuan Province, Dujiangyan City adjusted some of its administrative divisions. Zipingpu Town and Hongkou Township were abolished, and their administrative regions were incorporated into Longchi Town. The administrative area of Cuiyuehu Town was assigned to Qingchengshan Town.
