Sertar County Gesar Museum

The Sertar County Gesar Culture Museum started construction in July 2012, passed final acceptance in November 2014, became operational in August 2015, and completed final settlement in November 2015. The center has a total floor area of 17,818 square meters, comprising two components: the main building and the square. The main part, the Gesar Culture and Art Center, has a planned construction area of 8,658 square meters, covering a land area of 3,600 square meters, with a length of 59.3 meters and a width of 47 meters, plus a 12-meter staircase. Its function is designed as a six-story antique-style building with strong cultural characteristics. In particular, the design of the four corner rooms reflects the regional features of Gesar’s battles across the land. The total height is 33.4 meters, with each floor being 4.2 meters high. The second part is the affiliated project, the Gesar Culture and Art Square, which covers an area of 9,160 square meters and includes Tibetan-style archways, square paving, light box walls, and a lighting system. Investment details: The center received a total investment of over 70 million yuan. The antique-style seven-story building stands 33.4 meters tall and houses seven projects bundled under one funding source: the Cultural Center, Library, Gesar Exhibition Hall, Golden Horse Tourist Reception Center, Intangible Cultural Heritage and Artistic Heritage Protection Center, Sertar County Public Fitness Activity Center, and Sertar County Emergency Shelter.
