Zhongli New Village

Zhongli New Village is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Zhongli New Village is located in Group 5, Zhongli Village, Zhongli Town, Yucheng District. It lies at the heart of the “Upper, Middle, and Lower Li” eco-cultural tourism integration development demonstration pilot area, 15 kilometers from the central urban area of Yucheng District. Covering an area of 305 mu, it resettles 194 households and 613 people.

Seven “turnkey” projects aided by Mianyang City, including the Jiayang residential community’s river-crossing bridge, kindergarten, community ring road, cultural square, and river channel improvement within the community, have an estimated investment of 53.3 million yuan.

The new village residences and the seven “turnkey” projects were co-designed by renowned architects such as Professor Xia Zhujiu from National Taiwan University and Professor Zhao Chen, Deputy Dean of the School of Architecture at Nanjing University. Their design plan has been hailed as the most beautiful planning and design of the “4•20” projects. The community authentically recreates the style of Ming and Qing dynasty courtyard homes in western Sichuan, complemented by classic Chinese architectural complexes that harmonize with the Longxi River flowing through the town, resembling a scene from the “Along the River During the Qingming Festival.”

The village actively promotes and implements benefit-sharing mechanisms such as “company + self-management committee + cooperative + farmer,” enabling local residents to find employment and start businesses close to home. This accelerates the development of a distinctive urbanization path that connects various elements and integrates multiple sectors, striving to build a tourism-oriented characteristic town in western Sichuan.
