Martyr Hu Yuge’s Tomb Tower

Martyr Hu Yuge’s Tomb Tower is a cultural relic protection unit of Sichuan Province.

Martyr Hu Yuge’s Tomb Tower is located on Dongbao Mountain, about 1 kilometer east of Yanling Town in Weiyuan County. The tomb tower faces southwest and is positioned to the northeast. Its base is square, with 8 steps on either side in the form of cascading platforms. The two-tiered body of the tower is square in shape, tapering upward from the base. The top features an umbrella-shaped, three-bead spire. The tomb is a joint burial crypt shaped like a stone pagoda, standing 6 meters tall and constructed entirely of strip stones. The first tier of the tower body has inscribed stone slabs on all four sides, recording the martyr's biography and other content. The front of the second tier bears the seven Chinese characters “Martyr Hu Yuge’s Tomb Tower” written in regular script. The tomb tower is surrounded by a stone railing, and the entire cemetery covers an area of 353.21 square meters. In June 2007, it was designated as a Sichuan Provincial Cultural Relic Protection Unit by the People’s Government of Sichuan Province.
