Wujiashan Mountain

Wujiashan Mountain is located in the northwest of Sichuan Province, within the administrative area of Group 9, Hanfeng Village, Dakang Town, Jiangyou City. Its coordinates span from 104°03′13″E to 104°04′13″E longitude and 31°04′18″N to 31°05′26″N latitude. It lies at the strategic gateway leading north to Jiuzhaigou and south to Mianyang and then Chengdu. The area covers 25 square kilometers, with an elevation ranging from 1,200 to 2,179 meters, and has a permanent population of 70 households totaling 283 people. It is about 28 kilometers from downtown Jiangyou and is named Wujiashan (literally “Behind the Wu Family’s Mountain”) because the area is predominantly inhabited by families surnamed Wu. Wujiashan boasts well-preserved vegetation and an ecological environment, with extremely rich forest resources, as well as diverse animal and plant species and tourism assets. It is often referred to as the “Shennongjia of Jiangyou.” Its tourism offerings highlight ecological surroundings, profound cultural landscapes and historical significance, a variety of scenic spots, and seasonal distinctiveness, forming a year-round travel chain.
