Xinxing Square

Xinxing Square is located on the central landscape axis of Beichuan New Town. Its main feature is a memorial monument, one side of which is a giant thematic sculpture titled "Rebirth." Through vivid depictions of three typical figures—an ethnic Qiang man, woman, and child—it delivers a powerful message of strength, inspiration, and confidence. The other side features an inscription by former President Hu Jintao that reads, "Any difficulty can never defeat the heroic Chinese people," highlighting the resilient journey of the disaster-stricken people from sorrow to hope.
