Introduction: The Shuanglong Bridge is situated in Shuangjie Village, Longsheng Town. It runs from east to west and crosses over an unnamed small river. Built during the Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty, the bridge is a three-arch flat-beam stone structure. Approximately 200 metres east of the bridge lies the road that leads to Longsheng Town, while 200 metres west leads to various hamlets of Shuangjie Village. The bridge is 12 metres long, 1.9 metres wide and 2.6 metres high. The bridge deck is paved with six slabs laid in tightly fitted pairs, each slab being 0.68 metres thick. In the river bed, there are two bridge piers constructed by layering precisely hewn large stones. Each pier consists of five massive stones stacked atop one another. The topmost layer features square mortises designed to hold the wooden beams that support the stone bridge deck—these wooden beams remain well-preserved today. At the water-facing upper sections of the piers are rounded carvings of stone dragons, one on each side. The abutments on both banks were built using strip-shaped stones.
