This year marks the 35th anniversary celebration of Tokyo Disneyland in Japan, which has planned a series of events. Starting next year, both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea will undergo a series of expansion projects, including brand-new themed zones such as “Beauty and the Beast” and “Frozen.”

In 2019, Tokyo DisneySea will introduce two new attractions, including the highly acclaimed Soarin’ from the U.S., allowing guests to soar through the skies and take in famous landmarks and architecture from around the world, along with a Japan-exclusive flying experience for an unforgettable aerial adventure.
Tokyo Disneyland will add a new Big Hero 6 zone.
As for Tokyo Disneyland, two brand-new zones will be created in 2020: “Beauty and the Beast” and “Big Hero 6.” The Beauty and the Beast-themed zone will recreate the movie’s castle, standing approximately 30 meters tall — the second castle in the park after Cinderella Castle. In addition, both the Beauty and the Beast and Big Hero 6 zones will feature ride-based attractions, allowing visitors to step right into the movie scenes.
Tokyo Disneyland is also enchanting at night.
Starting summer 2019, Tokyo DisneySea will launch a new show called “Song of Mirage.” Led by Mickey Mouse, guests will join iconic Disney characters on a time-traveling adventure to the glittering ancient city of Rio Dorado, featuring a newly designed musical stage performance.

In 2018, Tokyo DisneySea announced its future expansion plans, which include three new zones: “Frozen,” “Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast” (tentatively translated as “Magic Bond”), and “Peter Pan.” These will bring to life Arendelle Kingdom from Frozen, the tower where Rapunzel lives in Enchanted, and the fantasy world of Neverland from Peter Pan — allowing guests to step into these beloved animated settings and make dreams come true.
