The UK is a dream travel destination for Taiwanese, and just London alone could take a whole week to explore. Among so many attractions, which one is the most popular and an absolute must-visit? The answer is“the British Museum”.
The Lonely Planet website on the 5th released the survey results from VisitEngland, showing that nearly 67 million visitors entered the British Museum last year, although this was a slight 0.1% decrease from 2013. The top five also included the National Gallery, Tate Modern, the Natural History Museum, and Brighton Pier;The attraction that visitors are most willing to pay to enter is the Tower of London.
Whether free or paid attractions, visitor numbers have shown an upward trend, with the biggest increase seen at zoos. “The overall UK tourism performance is currently on the rise, as the UK has many unique and outstanding attractions that offer visitors great experiences,” said James Berresford, the CEO of the survey organization.
