From August 7 to 17, the Far East Café buffet restaurant at Shangri-La's Far Eastern Plaza Hotel Taipei is launching the “Savor Singapore, Travel to a New City” food event, featuring dishes such as rojak, Bak Kut Teh Street, curry fish head, laksa, and chili crab. During the event period, diners can participate in a lucky draw. By joining the hotel’s Line@ fan page, you’ll get an extra chance to win (one grand prize winner will receive two round-trip economy class tickets on Singapore Airlines from Taipei to Singapore, plus two nights’ free accommodation each at Shangri-La’s Rasa Sentosa Resort & Spa and Shangri-La’s Rasa Singapore).
In addition to rojak, Bak Kut Teh Street, curry fish head, laksa, and chili crab, other new-flavor dishes include Singaporean fried tofu with peanut sauce, Hainanese chicken rice served with a signature sauce made from Thai chili, beauty chili, lemon juice, and garlic, Singaporean wanton noodles seasoned with a homemade chili paste made from soybeans, dried fish, Chinese cabbage, coconut sugar, shrimp, and shrimp paste, as well as Singaporean lamb soup, oyster omelet, stir-fried carrot cake, and coconut curry chicken.
