The Cliff Tombs and Cliff Carvings of Jinpeng Temple are protected as a Cultural Relics Conservation Unit of Sichuan Province.

The Cliff Tombs and Cliff Carvings of Jinpeng Temple are located in Longsheng Town, Daying County, and were carved during the Eastern Han Dynasty. They are arranged in a straight line along the mountainside of Jinpeng Temple. The tomb complex is sizable, consisting of sixteen tombs with largely similar layouts, each divided into a rear chamber, middle chamber, and front hall. The tombs are 2 meters wide, 9 meters deep, and 2.5 meters high. Inside and outside the cliff tombs are early Song Dynasty stone caves of varying sizes. Their carvings are located on a 4-meter-high, approximately 6-meter-long red sandstone cliff face, facing south. There are five niches in total, featuring exquisite carvings, particularly those on the right side of the cliff which are the most grand and artistically impressive, holding significant value for artistic and archaeological research.

Protected Area: A 50-meter buffer zone extending outward from the center of the cliff carvings.

Construction Control Zone: Extends 50 meters north to the hilltop, 200 meters west, 150 meters east, and 150 meters south to Daotu xia Datu below the front cliff.

Longsheng Town: [Administrative Division]

Established as Longsheng Township in July 1951 and elevated to Longsheng Town in July 1985, both under the jurisdiction of Longsheng District, Pengxi County, also known as Xingguang. In September 1992, the district was abolished and Longsheng, Yongqian, Shimen (Guangming), Tongxin, and Minzhu townships were merged to form Longsheng Town, comprising the Longsheng, Yongqian, Shimen (Guangming), Tongxin, and Minzhu party branches (offices). In December 1997, Daying County was established, and the town came under the jurisdiction of Daying County. The town has 50 administrative villages, one street neighborhood committee, and 519 production teams.
