Beijing Jintai Art Museum
The Beijing Jintai Art Museum was privately funded and established in 1995 by Yuan Xikun, a member of the Standing Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and a renowned figurative artist, on the lakeside of Beijing’s Chaoyang Park. It officially opened to the public on June 30, 1997. At that time, it was the largest private art collection museum in China, as well as an important cultural landmark in Beijing and a well-equipped facility for international cultural exchange. Its founder, Yuan Xikun, with his distinctive personal influence, uses art to express his artistic vision, continuously creating spiritual works that meet societal needs, and serving as an ambassador for the preservation of cultural arts from different periods and the promotion of contemporary new culture. On the platform of the Jintai Art Museum, he promotes the 5,000-year-old civilization of the Chinese nation, actively engages in the development and facilitation of international cultural exchanges, cooperates with the Chinese government in conducting extensive people-to-people diplomacy, fosters positive integration and cross-pollination between outstanding Chinese and foreign cultures, and has successfully co-hosted over 400 significant international cultural, artistic, environmental, and educational events with embassies in China. These efforts advance advanced culture with Chinese characteristics, serve the nation and its people, and create a uniquely distinctive museum that aligns with the cultural orientations, values, and needs for cultural exchange and dissemination of a modern domestic and international audience.
