The Site of General Kuang Jixun’s Martyrdom is a cultural relic protection unit of Bazhong City and a classic red tourism attraction.

The Site of General Kuang Jixun’s Martyrdom is located on the street of Hongkouchang Community Committee, Hongkou Town, Tongjiang County. Dating back to 1933, it is categorized as a modern-era significant historical site and representative building.

Protected area: The northeastern boundary is defined by the wall of He Taiyuan’s residence, the northwestern boundary by the cliff, and the southeastern and southwestern boundaries by the surrounding walls.

Construction control zone: A 10-meter buffer zone extending outward from the protected area forms the construction control zone.

Kuang Jixun (1895–1933) was from Sinan, Guizhou. Also known as Kuang Jixun, with the courtesy name Jicheng. He joined the Chinese Communist Party in 1926. A revolutionary martyr, he once served as commander of the 6th Red Army and the 25th Red Army.

In his early years, Kuang Jixun held positions as company commander, battalion commander, and regimental commander in Lai Xinhui’s Sichuan Army unit.

In 1925, the brigade Kuang Jixun was part of separated from Lai’s forces and was incorporated into Deng Xihou’s River Defense Army, where he was appointed commander of the 4th Brigade of the 2nd Division. Later, when the 2nd Division was downsized into the 7th Mixed Brigade, he became commander of the 2nd Regiment.
