Nanmu Courtyard

A municipal-level forest park. Located on the eastern side of Changshou District, Chongqing. It is about 10 kilometers from downtown Changshou and can be directly accessed via the Yufu Expressway. Named after the ancient temple and the vast nanmu trees covering the hills, it is dubbed the "Little Bamboo Sea." The site originally began as the Luku Temple from the Tang Dynasty, enduring over 500 years through the Tang, Song, and Yuan dynasties until it was rebuilt in the Ming Dynasty, renamed Guanyin Temple, and further renovated and expanded during the Qing Dynasty’s Guangxu era. It eventually earned the name Nanmu Courtyard due to the forest evolving into a canopy of nanmu trees.
