Guilin Zijiang Scenic Area is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Guide: The Zijiang River is located north of Ziyuan County and is one of the three most popular rivers for tourism in Guangxi. It combines serenity, danger, beauty, and wonder, boasting a uniquely splendid landscape. Known as "the best rafting experience in China," the Zijiang originates from Mao'er Mountain, the highest peak in South China. It belongs to the Yangtze River system, flowing from south to north into Dongting Lake, with an average riverbed width of 100 meters. The vegetation along both banks of the Zijiang is well-preserved, and the water flow and speed are relatively stable, resembling a jade ribbon winding through rugged mountains and peaks.

In addition to its primitive, simple, and secluded characteristics, the Zijiang also possesses a dynamic and graceful beauty. Along the river, there are over 60 scenic spots that are bizarre, rare, and breathtakingly beautiful. Among them, attractions such as "Sail Rock," "Elephant Drinking Water," "Torch Mountain," "General on Horseback Guarding the Gate," and "Zijiang Giant Buddha" are remarkably vivid in form and spirit, considered absolute masterpieces with high aesthetic value.

The Zijiang rafting route spans 22.5 kilometers, passing through 45 rapids and 31 bends. Whether you’re in a wooden boat, bamboo raft, or rubber dinghy, the experience is thrilling yet safe. As you drift along, a series of stunning sights unfold, making you feel as if you’re walking through a long gallery of landscape paintings—boats gliding on the river, people drifting as if in a painting. Especially during the spring season when flowers are in full bloom, the surrounding hillsides are covered in vibrant blossoms, presenting a scene so enchanting it’s almost intoxicating. You can also stop by the Langtian Yao Village midway through the scenic area to sample Yao ethnic snacks and enjoy traditional performances.

Transportation: 1. Take a bus from Guilin Bus Station to Ziyuan County. Regular express buses run daily from 6:00–17:50, with one departure every 20 minutes.

Direct express buses depart at: 7:40, 9:20, 11:20, 13:20, 14:40, and 16:40. 2. From Ziyuan County town to the dock, you can hire a car: 60 RMB per vehicle for up to 4 people, or 14 RMB per person for groups of 5 or more. Ticket/Opening Hours: Rafting Prices:
