Longmen Waterfall is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

The Longmen Waterfall Scenic Area in Guilin is located in Pantou Village, Panyuan Village Committee, Qingshitan East Source Village, Lingchuan County, 55 kilometers from downtown Guilin. The Longmen Waterfall is formed by a series of cascading waterfalls and is an integrated eco-tourism destination offering eco-travel, environmentally friendly tourism, ethnic culture, farm-style cuisine, and agricultural sightseeing.

Attractions in the area include: the Wind and Rain Bridge, night view waterfall clusters, thousand-year-old ancient trees, ancient vines, Cloud Ladder to the Sky, the Grand Canyon, the Eye-Opening Tree, Guanyin Rock, Turtle Spirit Rock, Echoing Stone, and the 1,000-acre Wu Family Manor. There’s also the beautiful Dong River and the vast Bamboo Sea Park, making it an ideal destination for leisure vacations, summer retreats, and outdoor hiking.

The scenic area features pristine forests with vines twisting around. Vast stretches of emerald-green bamboo sway with life, while verdant mountains stretch on as crystal-clear springs flow. Hiking along the stream leads you to deep, winding valleys where a waterfall rushes down the ravine, its waters converging and plunging into a deep pool, splashing up layers of mist and spray—ethereal like spring drizzle. As described by the Ming Dynasty traveler Xu Xiake: “The cliffside waterfall cascades long as a bolt of cloth, twisting as if pouring, all forming a curtain.”
