Lufeng Mountain is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

The Lufeng Mountain Scenic Area is located in Chenghuang Town, Xingye County, 18 kilometers from the county seat. It is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction. The scenic area primarily features Longquan Rock and Lufeng Mountain, covering an area of approximately 2.7 square kilometers. It highlights mountainous landscapes and karst cave attractions, complemented by colorful fields and forest scenery, where mountain, cave, and water views blend harmoniously.

Lufeng Mountain is a limestone massif, with a 2.4-kilometer-long sky ladder built straight up to the summit. The mountain’s features can be summarized by five words: “spectacular,” “perilous,” “secluded,” “unique,” and “graceful.” The peaks are strikingly diverse, the forests lush, and the landscape pristine and natural. To the north of the mountain lies Twin Dragons Cliff, to the south lies Transformed Dragon Cliff, and at the back lies Fairy Peak.

Longquan Rock is hailed as the “Number One Cave in Lingnan.” It is a large karst cave formed from limestone, renowned for its “three wonders”: the miraculous cave, the clear water, and the beautiful rocks. The developed touring route spans over 1,250 meters, with a tour time of about one hour. Inside the cave is like a giant, rotating art palace, divided into upper and lower levels—the upper level being a dry cave and the lower level a water cave. A subterranean river flows through the water cave, offering ever-changing scenery along the stream. The main attractions are concentrated in the cave’s five naturally formed grand halls, each capable of accommodating hundreds of visitors. Stalactites, stalagmites, stone curtains, and stone flowers are exquisitely lifelike, presenting a dazzling array of forms. The entire cave consists of various sized features, each unique, enriched with historical stories and intertwined with folk legends. Visitors marvel not only at the wondrous natural formations but also at the incredible craftsmanship of nature.

Key historical and cultural sites include the former military base site of Li Zongren, Hualong Spring, Imperial Dragon Palace, Hualong Temple, Temple of Duke Zhou, and the Natural Bonsai Forest.
