Introduction

Shi’ao Pagoda is located on Shi’ao Mountain in Shinan Town. The pagoda is an eight-sided, hollow, closely-eaved brick structure with seven stories, featuring overlapping eaves and a gourd-shaped finial. It stands 22 meters tall in total. Originally built during the Southern Song Dynasty, it was renovated in the 18th year of the Chenghua era of the Ming Dynasty and rebuilt in the 11th year of the Qianlong era of the Qing Dynasty (1746).

Shi’ao Pagoda is the most famous historical and cultural architectural site in Shinan Town and is also one of the "Key Cultural Relics Protection Units" in Yulin City today.
