Introduction: The Ten-Li Lotus Pond is located in Ganlian Village, Xiangzhou Town, Tiandong County. It was formed from an ancient channel of the Youjiang River. The pond stretches about ten li from north to south and is covered entirely with green lotus leaves, hence the name Ten-Li Lotus Pond. An ancient poem describes it as follows:

Vast and limpid, winding long, Lotus leaves stand tall, their emerald canopies strong. Fragrance wafts ten li where flowers bloom ten li wide, Sunset hues crimson bathe the pond with pride.

Currently, the Ten-Li Lotus Pond is under active development organized by the Tiandong County Party Committee and County Government. The development plan for the "Tiandong Ten-Li Lotus Pond Ecological Agricultural Tourism Area" has been reviewed and approved under the auspices of the Autonomous Region Tourism Bureau. The scenic area is envisioned as a comprehensive ecological agricultural tourism destination, centered around the water scenery and rural landscape of the Ten-Li Lotus Pond, supported by the modern agriculture of the Youjiang River Valley. It integrates orchard sightseeing, rural landscape appreciation, agri-tech tourism, and water recreation. Its theme and branding are: “Ten-Li Lotus Pond, Ten-Li Gallery, the World’s Greatest Lotus, the World’s Garden of Lotus.”

Key planned construction elements include: the entrance area (comprising the Lotus Pond gate, iconic green islands, eco-friendly parking lots, management service buildings, thematic sculptures, cascading fountains, rest corridors, etc.), the aquaculture zone (including a high-quality fish breeding center, premium aquatic farming, and an exotic species pavilion), the water recreation zone, the fruit orchard touring area, and the agricultural sightseeing area.
