Longxu River

The Longduan River is located southeast of Tiandong County. It originates in Debao County and flows through Polei, Denggao, and Daban villages in Zuodeng Yao Township of our county, as well as Youchang Village in Pingma Town, before joining the Youjiang River 4 kilometers south of the county bridge. Within our county, the Longxu River stretches approximately 70 kilometers. Currently, four hydroelectric power stations have been built, namely the Longxu River Hydropower Station, Zuodeng Hydropower Station, Denggao Hydropower Station, and Polei Hydropower Station, with an annual hydropower generation capacity of 100 million kilowatts. The riverbanks feature steep mountains and lush bamboo, offering beautiful scenery and abundant resources, making it an ideal destination for leisure, recreation, and sightseeing. Natural Swimming Area

Located 5 kilometers from the county town and accessible via a third-grade asphalt road. The natural swimming area features a water surface about 50 meters wide and 3 kilometers long. The water is clear and transparent with a gentle current, and the surrounding green hills are breathtaking. It is the best choice for swimming enthusiasts all year round.

Emerald Cliff Waterfall

Adjacent to the dam of the Longxu River Hydropower Station (7 kilometers from the county town), this waterfall is formed when spring water from a tributary river suddenly plunges into the Longxu River. The waterfall is about 30 meters high and 10 meters wide. Viewed from the opposite bank, two-tiered cascades can be seen, resembling white silk hanging high, gracefully tumbling down while sending up bursts of mist that scatter with the thunderous roar of the water.

Dam Surge

This refers to the powerful surging torrents gushing forth from the dam of the Longxu River Hydropower Station. They rush down with overwhelming momentum and thunderous noise. From a distance, the scene is shrouded in misty clouds; up close, one sees cascading rainbows, splashing waves, and flying droplets like an army of thousands, creating a majestic and earth-shaking spectacle.

Longxu River Water Tour Area

The section from the Longxu River Hydropower Station Dam to the Zuodeng Hydropower Station stretches approximately 15 kilometers. The upper 3 kilometers are suitable for rafting activities, while nearby mountain peaks offer opportunities for hiking and rock climbing. The lower 12 kilometers allow visitors to take boat or bamboo raft rides to enjoy the scenic views along both banks.

The Longxu River boasts beautiful natural scenery and well-preserved ecological environment, with convenient transportation and a simple, hospitable local culture.
