On February 7, 1930, Deng Xiaoping returned to Longzhou, Guangxi via Hong Kong and Vietnam after leaving Shanghai. On March 14, accompanied by a company of the Red Eighth Army, he arrived at Bama Village in Enlong County (now Tiandong County). On the 20th, Deng went to Longdong Village (formerly part of Lanfang Village) in Zhenliang, Silin, staying at the home of Deng Changli. He left Zhenliang on April 1. During his over half-month stay in Zhenliang, Deng carried out a series of revolutionary activities, such as organizing a military-political cadre training class, attacking local tyrants in Haicheng, and conducting in-depth investigations among the masses. In July 2011, the Discipline Inspection Commission of the Baise Municipal Committee of the CPC restored Deng Xiaoping’s former residence in Zhenliang (formerly part of Lanfang Village), exhibiting materials (photos, textual descriptions, and physical objects) about his activities there, and established it as an integrity education base for party members and cadres in the city. In October 2012, the Regional Party School further upgraded it into a revolutionary tradition education base for party members and cadres in Guangxi. In August 2013, the Tiandong County Committee organized relevant departments to revise and improve the exhibition content of the Deng Xiaoping Former Residence Exhibition Hall in Zhenliang. It has now become an integrity education base for party members and cadres in the city, as well as a revolutionary tradition education base for party members and cadres in Guangxi.
