Ancient Human Cultural SiteThis site is located on a terrace between Shangdong’an and Xiadong’an Villages in Xiaolong Town, with the Niubi River meandering nearby. It is approximately 30 kilometers from the county seat. In the autumn of 1986, cultural relics workers found several stone axes and adzes here, all polished from pebbles. Research has confirmed that they were production tools used by ancient humans during the Neolithic Age (approximately 4,000 to 10,000 years ago). The discovery of this site indicates that human activity existed in Luocheng as early as 4,000–10,000 years ago, and that their intellectual development was not significantly different from that of other regions (such as the Yangtze and Yellow River basins).
