Ledeng Bridge

Ledeng Bridge is located about 4 kilometers southwest of the county town. This bridge is a circular three-arch stone bridge, originally built in the 18th year of the Hongwu reign during the Ming Dynasty (1385 AD). It is one of the long-standing and elegantly designed bridges in Luocheng. The arch bridge has a total span of approximately 27 meters, a height of 3.6 meters, and a deck width of 4 meters. The body of the bridge is made of carved square stone blocks. The entire bridge features three arches, each with a span of 3 meters. At both ends of the bridge, in addition to a stone dog on each side, there are also stone steps leading up to the bridge deck. At the center of the base of the bridge piers at both ends, the stone is carved into the shape of a carp’s tail. On the bridge deck, there are two square stones resembling grass shoe prints embedded among the stone blocks, which is quite a marvel. As a result, many beautiful legends about this bridge have been passed down among the local people. This bridge is one of the scenic highlights of old Luocheng (known as "Ledeng Immortal Traces").
