Baxianyan Baxianyan is located to the south of Beisai Street, nestled in the mountainside of Xianzhang Mountain. It is 4 kilometers from the city center. The cave runs east-west and can be accessed via stone steps from the foot of the mountain. The cave entrance is larger on the eastern side and smaller on the western side, both square-shaped. The cave is divided into front and rear halls. The front hall is spacious, featuring a corridor gate with an engraved couplet. The upper line reads, “The grand fairy cave opens wide, a refuge from Japanese air raids,” the lower line reads, “A brief rest inside the cave lets us ponder current affairs,” and the horizontal inscription reads, “Cave of Xianzhang Mountain.” The western cave entrance has a Moon-Viewing Pavilion, and outside the cave lies a scenic view opposite the Dragon King Spring.
