Heshan Honghe Park

Heshan boasts not only picturesque landscapes with stunning mountains, beautiful scenery, and unique caves and rocks, but also the scenic banks of the Hongshui River. Honghe Park is situated along the beautiful urban section of the Hongshui River, adjacent to Guangxi’s first pithead power plant — Heshan Power Plant. It lies between the Hongshui River and Jiangbin Road, connecting Heshan Power Plant, Jiangbin Road, and Gongmo New Village into a tourism and sightseeing corridor via the Hongshui River. The park has been developed into a comprehensive functional area integrating science education, leisure tourism, and water recreation. Currently, the park’s infrastructure is continuously being improved. The abandoned mine pit remediation project within the park is one of the key projects in the Lan Core Area of the Heshan National Mine Park. Since the full commencement of construction in 2011, it has seen the completion of a tourist wharf, two public toilets, one visitor service center, parking lots, a cooling water waterfall landscape, three waterfront platforms, and a riverside landscape belt. A large number of flowers, plants, and trees have been planted to restore the ecological environment. Today, the winding scenery of the Hongshui River and the lush riverside leisure belt adorned with green trees and blooming flowers have become a uniquely beautiful haven for leisure, entertainment, strolling, and sightseeing.
