Luoxiu Town: Luoxiu Town is located in the southeastern part of Guiping City, bordering the territories of Pingnan County and Rongxian County, covering an area of 185 square kilometers. Established as a market during the Wanli era of the Ming Dynasty, it was originally called Tongji, but later renamed Luoxiu (meaning “embroidered silk”) due to the area’s thriving production of silk and embroidery. It is 61 kilometers from the county seat. Buses traveling from Guiping to Rongxian, Yulin, and Guangzhou pass through here. The town administers 21 village committees, with a total population of 70,449 people (as of the end of 2004), including 2,069 non-agricultural residents, and a natural population growth rate of 7.99‰.
