Wuzhou Xizhu Garden

Introduction 　

　 Located on Zhutou Ridge, Gangling Road, Wuzhou City. It is the largest Buddhist temple built in modern times in Wuzhou. Constructed in 1933, it consists of six brick-and-wood structures: the gate tower, Xizhu Hall, Guanyin Hall, Mahavira Hall, and side rooms. The temple covers an area of 10,000 square meters. It has been recently renovated. The Mahavira Hall houses statues of Sakyamuni, Amitabha, Bhaisajyaguru, and Ksitigarbha along with the Goddess of Mercy, and treasures the complete collection of the “Tripitaka” consisting of 7,173 volumes, as well as bronze tripods, bells, and lighthouses. Monks such as Dang Cheng from Liurong Temple in Guangzhou, Ju Zan from Longhua Temple on Xishan Mountain in Guiping, and Dao’an from the Guangxi Buddhist Association have all preached here. It serves as a venue for Buddhist activities in Wuzhou City.
