Wuzhou Historical and Cultural Corridor

The Wuzhou Historical and Cultural Corridor is built along the inner wall of the 1.5-kilometer-long flood control embankment of the Guihui section in Hedong District, Wuzhou City. It stretches from the corner of the flood control embankment on the western Xijiang River section under Yujiang Bridge to the Guibei Sluice. The corridor features 17 large-scale reliefs, 6 cultural landscapes, 3 water features, and 55 carved poems and calligraphy works. The content is divided into Wuzhou’s dragon culture, ancient culture, legendary culture, and modern culture. It depicts the historical vicissitudes of Wuzhou, showcases its unique folk customs, and reflects the enterprising spirit of its people, possessing high historical, cultural, and artistic value.

Moreover, its length and the large-scale relief group are extremely rare in China, and the five negative-relief dragons embedded in the embankment wall are truly one of a kind.
