Xilongzhou

Xilongzhou is located in the middle of the Xijiang River, 3.5 kilometers east of Wuzhou city, surrounded by water on all sides.

The island is covered with lush grass, rugged rocks, and pavilions standing tall, with green trees complementing the river. Beneath the island, splashing waters create waves that shimmer like silver beads and foam like snowflakes, while boats shuttle to and fro. In the distance, the picturesque peaks rise majestically, and Wuzhou, a mountainous city embraced by water, presents a classic southern Chinese landscape that is a feast for the eyes.

During the transition between spring and summer, when floods rage and turbulent waves surge, this island stands firm like a pillar in the middle of the river. Legend has it that in ancient times, immortals placed a cage under Xilongzhou containing a pair of precious ducks. With the precious ducks carrying the island, no matter how severe the flooding, it has never been submerged. Therefore, Xilongzhou is also known as "Floating Island."
