Along the 1.8-kilometer-long embankment wall of the Xijiang River section of the Hedong Flood Control Levee lies Yujiang Liguang, known as the "Wuzhou Bund." It is Wuzhou’s premier large-scale shopping and entertainment complex integrating urban tourism, shopping, entertainment, dining, sightseeing, leisure, and business in a one-stop theme park, consisting of “six major zones”: a modern commercial pedestrian street, Wanbang Commercial Plaza, a specialized market area, star-rated hotels and a comprehensive entertainment complex, a scenic embankment and Fisherman’s Wharf, as well as a Typhoon Shelter Food Paradise and a Boutique Wine & Culture Street. Along this 1.8-kilometer riverfront, the sparkling waters of the Xijiang River lie outside the embankment, while various European-style buildings are neatly arranged inside, creating a uniquely charming riverside gallery composed of architecture, garden clusters, plazas, commercial areas, activity zones, and business districts.

An architectural design that can enhance a city’s aesthetic appeal is inevitably tied to the city's culture, and public art, which reflects the designer’s vision and the character of the buildings, serves as small windows into the city’s soul. Although the final design plan for Yujiang Liguang has not yet been confirmed, according to a professional involved in the design review, the preliminary plans include features such as musical fountains, urban sculptures, and pavilions—all of which are delightful to the eye. Water once struck fear into the hearts of Wuzhou residents, but in the design of Yujiang Liguang, fountains dance gracefully with the music, transforming water into a soft and ethereal spirit. The enduring flow of water and its vibrant energy define the distinctive features of the Yujiang Liguang design and form an integral part of Wuzhou’s soul.

Located in the most bustling golden area of Hedong, Wuzhou, Guangxi, the project benefits from a mature commercial district. Built along the river, it offers picturesque scenery. With a grand scale, the 1,800-meter-long shopping corridor formed by the commercial streets and shops beneath the embankment is currently the most unique, largest, and longest modern commercial pedestrian street in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Yujiang Liguang has a total business area of 200,000 square meters, divided into the area beneath the embankment and the commercial pedestrian zone. These two major operational areas feature six functional zones, focusing on services, dining, and entertainment industries, and integrating shopping, leisure, tourism, sightseeing, hotels, and business.
