Ancient City Fortress

The Ancient City Fortresses are located in Ligao Village Committee, Ligao Town, built on three sites: Cuiping Mountain, Dushan Mountain, and Guanyin Mountain. Among them, Dushan Ancient City Fortress is the most famous. Built atop Dushan Mountain, it almost covers the entire summit. Viewed from afar, it resembles the Potala Palace in Tibet, appearing grand and magnificent. The Ancient City Fortress was constructed in the 11th year of the Republic of China (1922), mainly for villagers to take refuge from soldiers and bandits. When Japanese troops entered Ligao, they once stationed at Dushan Ancient City Fortress. In the 1980s, the film *The Lonely Killer* used Dushan Ancient City Fortress as an outdoor filming location, further adding to the charm of the ancient fortresses in Ligao.
