Baipeng Lotus Garden Scenic Area is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

Majestic Dawushan Mountain, murmuring Xibi River, ancient banyan trees steeped in history, and the magical time-telling spring—this pristine natural environment of lush mountains and clear waters nurtures vast lotus fields stretching as far as the eye can see, their fragrance wafting for miles. Located in Xialun Village, Huaihong Township, Baipeng Town, Liuzhou County, this place is renowned as the "Hometown of China's Jade-like Lotus." The lotus roots produced here are tender, snow-white, sweet, and crisp, enjoying widespread fame.

Baipeng Town in Liuzhou County has long been known as the "Hometown of Jade-like Lotus." The county hosts an annual Lotus Flower Cultural Tourism Festival, establishing a festive culture centered around the "Baipeng Jade Lotus" brand. Currently, the lotus fields centered around Xialun Village are fragrant with lotus leaves, and lotus blossoms are on the verge of blooming, marking the perfect season for sightseeing.

Xialun Village, under the jurisdiction of Huaihong Village Committee in Baipeng Town, is located in the southern part of Liuzhou City, 1.5 kilometers east of Liulai Road, approximately 4 kilometers from the town government, 14 kilometers from Liuzhou County, and 28 kilometers from downtown Liuzhou. The Xianggui Railway and Liulai Highway run north-south through the area, providing extremely convenient transportation. The village access road is a 5.5-meter-wide cement road. The village currently covers a built-up area of about 250 acres, with 303 households and a population of over 1,321. The total arable land area is 1,283 acres, including 717 acres of paddy fields and 400.5 acres of dry land, averaging 0.9 acres of arable land per person. The main economic activities of the village are the cultivation of double-season lotus roots, intercropping of lotus roots with arrowhead, and bamboo weaving. The villagers are hardworking, kind-hearted, skilled, hospitable, and have a simple and honest folk culture. Everyone in the village, regardless of age or gender, knows how to weave bamboo products, with over 30 varieties produced. This craft generates an average annual income of about 900 yuan per person. Xialun Village is one of the main production areas of "Baipeng Jade Lotus®." In front of the entire village lies a 32,000-acre double-season lotus root production base. From early April to early November each year, the picturesque lotus fields, fresh air, and beautiful scenery attract countless tourists and photography enthusiasts. Since 2006, leveraging the construction of a new socialist countryside, the village has made full use of its natural advantages, including the vast lotus fields and beautiful mountain-water landscapes, to vigorously develop eco-agricultural tourism. Seven scenic spots have been developed: the Vast Lotus Fields, Lou tai Mountain, the Eco Bamboo Forest Leisure Area, the Cliffside Ancient Banyan, Ancient Residences, the Swimming Pool, and Ornamental Lotus. Traditional folk customs such as ox-cart weddings and shigong dances continue, along with recreational activities that actively involve visitors, including barbecues, fishing, swimming, and catching fish. The exquisitely handcrafted bamboo products made by the villagers are highly favored by tourists. There are 10 farmhouse restaurants that can accommodate over 500 diners at once, serving dishes made entirely from ingredients produced within the scenic area. These dishes, characterized by their "return to nature and nutritional health benefits," have earned widespread praise from visitors. The scale of industries such as intercropping lotus roots with arrowhead and raising loaches in lotus fields continues to expand. In 2012, the area of lotus fields intercropped with arrowhead reached 11,000 acres, making it one of the largest aquatic vegetable bases in the region and even the country. In October 2013, a national aquatic vegetable field conference was scheduled to be held in Xialun Village, Baipeng. Over the years, through adjustments in industrial structure—from double-season lotus roots and arrowhead intercropping to the development of leisure and tourism—the villagers' incomes have significantly increased. In 2012, the per capita net income of farmers in Xialun Village reached 7,945 yuan. The village has successively been honored with titles such as "National Agricultural Tourism Demonstration Site," "Guangxi Agricultural Tourism Demonstration Site," "Guangxi Famous Leisure Agriculture Tourism Village," "Guangxi Top Ten Charming Villages," and "Liuzhou Premium Beautiful Village."

To this day, Xialun Village has become one of the hotspots for agricultural tourism near Liuzhou City.
