Jieyang West Lake Park

West Lake Park is located in the central part of the city, on the north side of the Nan River. It is a scenic area primarily composed of water bodies, created by building embankments around the area in 1058. Currently, there are over 20 large and small ponds, forming a vast expanse of water covering more than 300 acres. A winding stone bridge spans the lake, with a two-story pavilion in the center, exuding an antique charm and embodying the aesthetic of classical gardens in southern China. Weeping willows line the lake, swaying their green leaves and playing with the moonlight, creating an elegant atmosphere. Red walls and yellow tiles are tucked among lush trees, while the sounds of insects and birds can be heard all year round. Pleasure boats glide across the water, accompanied by melodious singing. It is one of the major scenic attractions in eastern Guangdong.
