On the northern side of Zifeng Mountain, a newly built park is catching people’s attention. This is Meiyun Neipan Park in Rongcheng District. Covering an area of 20 mu, with a total investment of 2.4 million yuan, the park was completed and put into use in December 2004. Designed to preserve natural features and maintain the original landscape, the park makes full use of the natural resources of Zifeng Mountain, featuring facilities such as cement paths, bridges, pavilions, and a swimming pool. Strolling through Neipan Park, visitors can enjoy lush green mountains like a painted screen, meandering zigzag bridges, crystal-clear waters in the swimming pool, along with the gentle mountain breeze and the fragrant aroma from fruit orchards, creating a truly relaxing experience.

Neipan Park was initiated for construction in the second half of 2003 by Neipan Village. The village officials believed that since the reform and opening-up, villagers’ lives had been getting better day by day, and it was time to improve their quality of life and pursue higher spiritual goals. With the natural beauty of green mountains and clear waters right at their doorstep, why not make use of a piece of barren land at the foot of Zifeng Mountain to build a park? When this idea was announced in the village, it caused a great sensation. Villagers praised the plan enthusiastically and were willing to contribute both money and labor. Funding was raised through a combination of collective contributions and villagers’ pooled funds, with villagers living elsewhere also generously donating to beautify their hometown. Once the funding was secured, the village carried out unified planning. In addition to making use of natural resources, the design also incorporated functions such as flood control, water storage, and irrigation, resulting in a scenic area that is both beautiful and practical.

The completion of Neipan Park has sparked a “morning exercise craze” among the villagers. During holidays and weekends, the park sees a continuous stream of visitors coming for morning workouts and mountain climbing. Neipan Village also plans to build additional recreational facilities such as a senior citizens’ activity center and a children’s playground, aiming to create a leisure and entertainment venue that is both elegant and modern.
