The Old Village Chen Clan Ancestral Temple

The Old Village Chen Clan Ancestral Temple is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Guangdong Province.

The Old Village Chen Clan Ancestral Temple is located to the south of Old Village in Rongdong Subdistrict, Rongcheng District, Jieyang City. It was built around the ShaoSheng to YuanFu years (1094–1099) during the reign of Emperor Zhezong of the Song Dynasty. The temple enshrines the spirit tablets of Marquis Yi, Patriarch TaiChu, and ancestral generations. The annual ancestral worship ceremony is held on the eighth day of the ninth lunar month.

Old Village: Old Village Community borders Xizhai and Wushi villages in the experimental zone to the east and faces the northern section of the Rong River to the north. It has a total population of 2,400, with 507 households, covering an area of nearly 700 acres. The main crops grown are bananas and citrus fruits. The community currently hosts over 20 individual businesses, primarily producing toy micro-motors.
